Ratio Institute

Ratio Institute is a project of Ecology Action, working with food retailers, trade organizations, and other partners to accelerate measurable sustainability and viability in the food retail industry. Ratio Institute has worked with over 1,000 grocery stores and 20 grocery chains to create store-level and enterprise sustainability solutions that reduce costs, shift internal cultures, and improve overall performance. Their Sustainable Food Retail Certification program helps food retailers achieve operational excellence and meet sustainability goals by benchmarking performance, reducing costs, and increasing margins. Ratio Institute also publishes a ESG Reporting Standard that defines key aspects of a high quality ESG report, including scoping materiality and defining targets.

As a part of a small team, I led the development and supported the design for the Ratio Institute website and provide ongoing maintenance and additional graphic design support, including the layout of their ESG State of the Industry Reports.
