Digital Platform & Brand Systems for Commercial Building Decarbonization
Taper, powered by Ecology Action, was an integrated energy management partner on a mission to decarbonize commercial buildings. Specializing in energy efficiency, refrigeration, funding, and compliance, Taper worked directly with food retailers, commercial building owners, and industry partners to maximize energy savings and optimize complex building systems. By connecting clients to utility incentives, federal/state grants, and financing programs that reduce upfront costs, Taper streamlined the pathway for commercial enterprises to significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions.
The Impact
Working as part of a lean creative and technical team, I led the web design and development for Taper’s initial website launch (tapersolutions.com). For the platform redesign, I spearheaded the technical front-end development while collaborating on user experience and visual layout. I provided ongoing site maintenance and multi-channel graphic design support—including the creation of corporate Word and PowerPoint presentation suites, social media channel management, and branded marketing collateral that help Taper communicate complex energy management solutions to commercial clients.
