Iwanai Resort is a small ski resort on Mount Iwanai, Hokkaido, Japan. Iwanai Resort is gaining popularity as it positions itself as a more intimate and luxurious cat ski focused resort, giving it an edge against the already established neighboring Niseko.

The Challenge

While its winter season is steadily increasing in success, Iwanai Resort was struggling to make the remainder of the year profitable. They recently began a summer camp program, called Iwanai Onward, for both local and international children to teach leadership and survival skills. Iwanai Resort was able to establish connections with numerous schools, but wanted to increase the number of sign ups and the ability to push the price point of the camp up.

The Solution

I worked closely with the Iwanai Resort team to create a marketing package to give the program a more polished and established appearance. The bilingual package included flyers and leave behinds, for the marketing team to sell the program to teachers that would help promote the camp to their students, and flyers and informational packets intended for the camp attendees and their families. The Iwanai Resort team was thrilled with the resulting materials and felt better equipped for their meetings. They also reported the positive feedback from the teachers that the materials made the camp a more credible program.
